Katsuma Onishi

I studied math and statistics at McMaster. Most recently I worked as a research data analyst at the National Institute for Materials Science in Tsukuba, Japan.

This site is where I keep the work I've enjoyed doing. Putting it somewhere public is how I keep myself doing more of it.

About

I finished my degree in math and statistics at McMaster in 2025. After that I spent time as a research data analyst at the National Institute for Materials Science in Tsukuba, where I built data templates for research teams. Before that I was an inventory data analyst at a computer refurbishing company in Markham, keeping track of hard drive stock and putting together dashboards.

When I'm not working I fish as often as I can, and I sew and mend my own clothes. Most of the mending is sashiko, which I picked up on my own.
